MP Lozovyi says his 6M income was earned by non-business activities

Oleh Liashko’s Radical Party faction MP Andrii Lozovyi says he has been earning a living since he the age of 15. However, according to the lawmaker, he has never run his own business.

Lozovyi told reporters on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada commenting on the $50,000, 150,000 euros, and 800,000 hryvnia (about 6,260,000 hryvnia total in cash) he included in his e-declaration, Censor.NET correspondent reports.

According to Lozovyi, all the incomes he declared were received legally, either inherited or honestly earned.

The MP says he obtained part of the income from the sale of his great grandfather's house in the village of Novoukrainka. Lozovyi also said he was never officially employed, and earned his first money selling Christmas trees when he was 13 years old.

"It was in Rivne. I was attracting customers by shouting out that those were Christmas trees from Kuchma's mansion. Kuchma was the president then.

"I have had a lot of different income sources. I was assisting certain companies, worked as a delivery guy, as a writer, and assisted to direct election campaigns," the Radical Party member said.

However, Lozovyi said he had never run his own business, but helped a lot of people "especially in terms of attracting investments."
