MP Vilkul's declaration: $612,000, 310,000 euros in cash, collection of icons, and state compensation for hotel

Former leader of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, former Party of Regions member, and an Opposition Bloc MP Oleksandr Vilkul declared millions of hryvnia, dollars and euros in cash, but received 157,780 hryvnia of state aid for rental housing.

As Censor.NET reports referring to the MP's electronic income statement, Vilkul declared two apartments: one in Kryvyi Rih (​​62.1 sq.m.) owned by Vilkul's wife Olena, and the second one (123.1 sq.m.) in Dnipro city owned by his father.

Also, his declaration mentions 11 non-residential premises in Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih and Kamianske in the Dnipropetrovsk region that belong to Oleksandr Vilkul's Fund Ukrainian Perspective NGO. It is notable that the ownership of nearly all those premises was acquired during a few weeks in May 2015.

In addition, Vilkul declared numerous works of art, such as a collection of paintings (31 pieces), a collection of icons (27 pieces), and a collection of antique instruments (151 pieces). He also possesses XIX-XX century stocks and a collection of books (217 pieces).

Among other things, the MP has also declared 11 watches by famous brands.

The cars declared by Vilkul are relatively modest - a Chevrolet Express (2008) and a Volkswagen Multivan (2011).

As noted in the document, the main source of Vilkul's income is interest earned on bank deposits of the MP (666,137 hryvnia) and his wife (2.8 million hryvnia).

The MP holds 5.6 million hryvnia on bank accounts, while his wife is a holder of 190,647 hryvnia, $3.1 million and 748 euros.

Also, the ex-Party of Regions MP declared cash. $612,000, 310,000 euros and 300,000 hryvnia is owned by Oleksandr Vilkul himself, and his wife owns 1.8 million euros and $1.2 million.

Despite owning the assets above, Vilkul did not refuse the state help for rental housing, which is more than 157,000 hryvnia.
