Militants restrict monitors' movement, search cars' trunks, - OSCE

Terrorists deny the OSCE observers access to settlements in the occupied Donbas territory and search the trunks of their cars.

Militants of the self-styled "Luhansk People's Republic" have banned the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission observers from Buhaivka village over a military exercise allegedly being underway on a training ground, Censor.NET reports citing LIGA referring to the OSCE press service.

Pro-Russian mercenaries informed the observers that they could not proceed further because of an ongoing live-fire exercise on a training ground outside the security area. The monitors report to have heard two single shots.

As noted, the shots came from a training ground in Buhaivka. The information has been communicated to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination in the Donbas (JCCC).

While on the way to occupied Oleksandrivka, the observers were stopped at a checkpoint and asked to open the trunks of the vehicles. Having refused to do so, they were nonetheless allowed to get through the checkpoint. However, the patrol was forbidden to turn at the checkpoint towards Oleksandrivka. Instead, they were told to go to another checkpoint located more than 6 km away. After reaching the checkpoint, the mission was allowed to travel to Oleksandrivka, the statement notes.
