This was announced by Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in an interview with CNN, Censor.NET reports citing BBC Russia.
According to Lavrov, Russia has no intention to escalate current 'cold' conflict with the United States.
He commented on statements of U.S. military officials that war between Russia and U.S. is inevitable by saying this should be left on their head.
Lavrov also said Russia had no plans to seize Syrian city of Aleppo in the interests of Bashar al-Assad's army. Moscow will rather support recent initiative by the UN special envoy on the Syrian crisis Staffan de Mistura.
Last week, de Mistura addressed militants from Al-Nusra Front group with a request to leave Aleppo and said he would convoy them in person. He also said that Moscow and Damask use the deployment of 900 militants in the 250,000-people region as an alibi to keep bombing it.
Lavror was quoted by the Russian Foreign Ministry as supportive of this initiative that would allow the opposition in Aleppo signing a cease-fire agreement with Syrian government.
Earlier, U.S. top military officials said war with Russia was 'almost guaranteed.'
