Hollande says progress on Minsk agreements very slow, willing to meet 'Normandy Format' leaders anytime

President of France Francois Hollande says little progress is seen in solving 'the Ukrainian issue.'

He stated in Strasbourg on Tuesday, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

Hollande said the progress in the Minsk agreements developments was very slow, and he was willing to hold a meeting anytime in the Normandy format with German Chancellor Merkel and other members of the group, including France, Germany, Ukraine, and Russia.

Earlier, some media reported of an alleged consent of the Ukrainian side to take part in the Normandy Four meeting on Oct. 19 in Paris. Back in September, French President Hollande announced the meeting in Normandy Four format to take place in the following several weeks. On Oct. 11, Russian Ambassador to France Alexander Orlov said Merkel had invited the Normandy Four leaders for a dinner in Berlin on Oct. 19. Oct. 11 the Kremlin also announced Putin's desire 'to postpone' his visit to Paris on Oct. 19.
