Work of observers in Petrivske hampered over mines, - OSCE

The OSCE monitors have no security guarantees to work in the area.

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) announced on Twitter, Censor.NET reports.

"There are no security guarantees for the SMM in "DPR"-controlled Petrivske and government-controlled Bohdanivka over the presence of mines. The SMM is ready/able to monitor, but its work is prevented," the statement reads.

Earlier, the framework agreement on disengagement of troops and hardware was signed in Minsk on Sept. 21.

As stipulated by the document, the OSCE SMM performs permanent monitoring and verification of disengagement of troops and hardware in agreed areas. Stanytsia Luhanska and Zolote in the Luhansk region and Petrivske in the Donetsk region are the first three settlements where the disengagement is to take place.
