Former head of the State Investment Agency of Ukraine Vladyslav Kaskiv was released on bail in the amount of $600,000 on Sept. 30.

As reported by Censor.NET, Deputy Prosecutor General Yevhen Yenin said in an interview to Ukrainski Novyny.

"Kaskiv was released on bail several hours ago (Sept. 30)," he said.

Yenin refused to disclose whether Kaskiv's assets in Panama had been attached citing the ongoing investigation.

"Once we have information on all property owned by Kaskiv or people related to him in Panama, we will decide whether to request the property seizure or propose other options as for alienation of property in Panama. This is a complicated question. If we are up to seize something, we must understand that the government will bear all the related expenses. We must act wisely to avoid unnecessary burden on the Ukrainian budget," the deputy prosecutor general said.

As for the progress in granting political asylum to Kaskiv, Yenin explained that the Panamanian side had six months to consider the relevant motion at that point.
