Russian invaders withdrawn troops from Zolote, lifting mines near Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint, - Ukraine’s Defense Ministry

The disengagement of troops in accordance with the agreement signed in Minsk on Sept. 21 has started in the Luhansk region.

Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The update reads: "The detachments of the 6th separate motorized rifle regiment (Stakhanov) of the 2nd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were withdrawn from the town of Zolote Oct. 1.

"The engineer company of the 2nd separate motorized rifle brigade (Luhansk) 2nd Army Corps is lifting mines in the vicinity of the Stanytsia Luhanska entry/exit point. The disengagement of troops is scheduled for Oct. 2,3.

"The enemy shows no signs of preparation for troops' withdrawal from Petrivske village.

As reported, the Trilateral Contact Group to resolve the conflict in the Donbas signed the framework agreement on disengagement of troops and hardware in Minsk Sept. 21.
