Militants do not want to leave strongholds in Stanytsia Luhanska, - Army spokesperson

The Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed disengagement in Zolote.

Head of the Army communication department Bohdan Senyk told 112 TV Channel, Censor.NET reports.

"We can confirm that disengagement happened in Zolote village yesterday. At the same time we register daily militants' attacks at Stanytsia Luhanska and Petrovske. According to the Minsk agreements, no single attack has to be reported in the area for about seven days, which is not happening now.

"As you might know, the 'DPR' and 'LPR' militants do not withdraw military equipment from certain settlements along the front line. And there is a reason. They have to leave [according to the agreements - ed.] dominant hills where the militants strongholds are set up. And this is clear disadvantage for them, and this is the cause of constant provocations and attacks at the Army's positions," Senyk said.
