Suspect of police officers’ murder in Dnipro City injured with handgun of deceased policeman Kutushev, - Police Deputy Chief Troian

Two major examinations confirmed that the bullet taken out of the body of the suspect in the murder of patrol police officers in Dnipro City came from the slain cop's handgun.

This was announced by National Police Deputy Chief Vadym Troian at a press conference, Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"We waited for the results of the expert examinations. I mean the core examinations that allowed us to confirm a suspicion that the bullet recovered from the body of the suspect came from the pistol owned by our guy (police officer- Ed.). And that's the most important thing now," Troian stressed.

As reported, a traffic law violator shot a patrol officer dead and wounded his female partner in Dnipro City Sunday morning. According to preliminary information, the patrol crew stopped a Citroen car for violation of traffic rules. The driver began to resist the police officers, made a few shots, and fled the scene. A male patrol officer died on spot, while his female partner officer did not survive a surgery.
