This was announced by National Police Deputy Chief Vadym Troian at a press conference, Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"We waited for the results of the expert examinations. I mean the core examinations that allowed us to confirm a suspicion that the bullet recovered from the body of the suspect came from the pistol owned by our guy (police officer- Ed.). And that's the most important thing now," Troian stressed.
As reported, a traffic law violator shot a patrol officer dead and wounded his female partner in Dnipro City Sunday morning. According to preliminary information, the patrol crew stopped a Citroen car for violation of traffic rules. The driver began to resist the police officers, made a few shots, and fled the scene. A male patrol officer died on spot, while his female partner officer did not survive a surgery.
