SBU searches head office of Novinskyi's Smart-Holding

The security officers did not explain the grounds for the search on Sunday.

The Security Service searched the head office of Smart-Holding, owned by one of the Opposition Bloc leaders Vadym Novinskyi on Sunday morning, press-service of the company reports. The law enforcement officers broke into the office using special equipment and started searching it and seizing documents, the report reads.

According to Lada Konduforova, Director of Legal Support of the Smart-Holding, the security officers did not explain why they carried out the search on Sunday, despite the fact such actions should be carried out on working days according to the law. In addition, the search order had wrong address in it.

In this regard, Konduforova questioned the legality of SBU's actions.
