NABU found violations in MP Leshchenko's acquisition of apartment, materials to be transferred to Agency on corruption prevention, - Head Sytnyk

Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau says MP Serhii Leshchenko committed several violations when buying his apartment.

As reported by Censor.NET citing 112 Ukraine TV channel, this was announced by NABU Head Artem Sytnyk at a news briefing aired by 112 Ukraine.

He noted that NABU will pass the documents on Leshchenko's apartment acquisition to the National Agency on corruption prevention.

Earlier, blogger Andrii Dzyndzia wrote on Facebook that People's Deputy Serhii Leshchenko had purchased a 200-square meter apartment worth 7.5 million hryvnia (about $300,000) on Ivana Franka Street in downtown Kyiv. In turn, Serhii Leshchenko confirmed this fact and noted that he borrowed half of the amount necessary for the purchase of the property from founder of Ukrainska Pravda news outlet Olena Prytula. The rest of the amount was combined of personal and his girlfriend's savings.
