Russian occupation troops opened fire upon Ukrainian Army positions 56 times yesterday, - Staff

Over the past 24-hour period, Russian occupation troops opened fire upon positions of Ukrainian defenders 56 times. Despite provocations, the Armed Forces of Ukraine unswervingly abide by the Minsk agreements.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced in a report by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) press center as at 6 a.m. Sept. 14, posted on Facebook.

According to the Staff, 37 cases of cease-fire violations were reported at Donetsk direction.

"The enemy conducted shelling from grenade launchers, machine guns, and small arms upon positions of Ukrainian military in Novoselivka Druha, Avdiivka, Verkhniotoretske, Zaitseve, Novhorodske, and Luhanske. In addition, Luhanske, Zaitseve, Svitlodarsk, Pisky and Butivka mine were fired at by the occupants with 120 and 82 mm mortars. With the purpose of moral coercion of the ATO forces, the enemy used sniper groups near Avdiivka and Verkhniotoretske."

At Luhansk direction, five cases of cease-fire violations were recorded. The enemy committed armed provocations near Novozvanivka and Novooleksandrivka, opening fire from grenade launchers, machine guns, and small arms. Novozvanivka also came under fire by IFVs and sniper groups.

"At Mariupol direction, 14 cases of cease-fire violations were recorded. Russian occupation troops conducted armed provocations, firing from IFVs and grenade launchers upon Shyrokyne. Pavlopil, Novotroitske, Shyrokyne, and Starohnativka came under grenade launchers and small arms fire. At around 11 p.m. yesterday, the enemy fired at Lebedynske and Berdianske with 120 mm mortars, with Marinka aimed at by a sniper.

"At Donetsk direction, the militants opened fire upon our defenders in Zaitseve and Avdiivka from Minsk-banned artillery," the report reads.

Earlier, 35 cases of cease-fire violations by pro-Russian militants in the Donbas were recorded on Sept. 12.
