Petro Poroshenko Bloc (PPB) faction MP, the president's representative in the Verkhovna Rada Artur Herasimov said at a meeting of the Coordination Board, Censor.NET reports citing the statement by PPB press service.
"In accordance with the article 106 of the Constitution, the president is going to deliver his annual address on Ukraine's domestic and foreign situation to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at parliament's plenary session Sept. 6. The address is an important milestone for the state's further development," he said.
"Besides, one of the most important issues of the parliament's first plenary week is to enshrine in law the welfare and well-being of our children. With this objective in view, the president has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft No. 4784 stipulating procedural and institutional conditions for social protection of orphans and children deprived of parental care. This bill requires urgent study by the relevant parliamentary committee and subsequent adoption in the parliament," the lawmaker noted.
"Moreover, it is vital to consider a number of bills relating to other fields at this plenary week. They include defense bill No. 2504 stipulating creation of a unified state register of persons liable for call-up; information policy bill No. 4815 improving sanctions imposition procedures by the National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine. The relevant committee should speed up review of the bill No. 2966-p on the activities of the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine stipulating measures necessary for fulfilling terms for the EU's second tranche of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 600 million euros," the official said.
"It is also critical to consider this week the draft laws on decentralization, deregulation, economic development, and intellectual property protection submitted by the Cabinet," the MP said.
