 Six persons detained outside Inter TV channel, Kyiv police head says

The law enforcers detained six people suspected of involvement in committing an act of arson against Inter TV channel’s office.

As reported by Censor.NET referring to Interfax-Ukraine, Kyiv police Head Andrii Kryschenko said on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

According to him, the law enforcement officers have taken the detainees to Shevchenkivskyi district police precinct in Kyiv. The investigators are currently identifying the detainees and checking their possible involvement in the arson attack on the building.

He also informed that that the law enforcers were investigating offenses identified as hooliganism and malicious mischief.

In turn, Adviser to the Interior Minister Zorian Shkiriak said on air of 112 Ukraine that the law enforcement officers were going to check all the versions and motives of the committed crime. He did not rule out that it could be a provocation plotted against Inter TV channel with possible involvement of its own employees.
