European Parliament's LIBE to debate visa-free regime with Ukraine Sept. 5

The European Parliament Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) is going to consider granting Ukraine a visa-free regime with the EU Sept. 5.

Censor.NET reports citing a statement by the committee.

"The committee will also discuss the report on visa liberalization with Ukraine, together with Deputy Foreign Minister Olena Zerkal," the statement reads.

Moreover, the reports and the decisions to open the inter-institutional negotiations on allowing nationals from Georgia and from Kosovo to be exempt from holding a visa when travelling in the EU will be put to vote.

On Aug. 30, a resolution to put Ukraine on the list of third countries whose citizens enjoy visa-free travel to the EU was registered with the European Parliament.
