Poland's Duda: Central and Eastern Europe should increase NATO presence

Countries of Central and Eastern Europe should increase their political presence in NATO "to support balance."

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by Polish President Andrzej Duda at a meeting with top diplomats of Ukraine, Liga.net reports.

"Poland will always strengthen the unity of the West and the power of NATO. We have been and will be a loyal and responsible country that unites free peoples. This is why Poland today is a factor that reminds us the European community should expand its borders," he said.

Duda noted that Poland remains one of the supporters of the "open doors" policy in the EU and NATO.

"Central and Eastern Europe should increase its political presence in NATO, and this is required for supporting balance in this part of the world where foreign hegemonic domination has always brought in wars and conflicts. ...

"The community acting within the European Union and NATO could guarantee peace on the European continent for a long time," the president of Poland added.
