President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has invited Ukrainians to attend the Independence Day military parade on Kyiv’s Khreshchatyk Street.

As reported by Censor.NET citing 112 Ukraine, this was said by the head of state as he was delivering his speech to the members of the Security Service of Ukraine.

"Word of advice: come see our parade the day after tomorrow, Aug. 24, as it will be held not only to demonstrate our strength to the enemy, not only to show our allies and partners that we have created the new Ukrainian army, new Ukrainian armed forces and other security forces from scratch over the two-year period. The representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine will also take part in the march-past. It will demonstrate the Ukrainian people that we have means to protect peace and tranquility in the country in the first place," the president said.

As reported, the Independence Day military parade is going to be held on the main street of the Ukrainian capital Aug. 24. The students of Ukraine's military higher educational institutions, as well as anti-terrorist operation (ATO) veterans both from volunteer detachments and regular troops will take part in the parade. The Ukrainians will also be able to see the advanced military hardware.
