Russian army activity on border with Crimea declined, - Slobodian

The situation on the administrative border with occupied Crimea remains stable. The number of those entering the peninsula has decreased by 22 percent. All control checkpoints are operating normally. Lines can be observed in the direction of mainland Ukraine.

Assistant to the chairman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Oleh Slobodian said on air of 112 Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.

"The situation on the administrative border remains calm. All the checkpoints are operating normally. As for the trends, over the past day, the number of those moving inside the peninsula reduced by 22 percent compared to the previous period. Most people cross the border, leaving the occupied peninsula rather than entering it. This morning, no congestion was registered at checkpoints," Slobodian remarked.

Meanwhile, there are lines of those who want to leave the territory of Crimea, the official noted.

According to him, a decline in the movement of Russian troops near the administrative border has been registered.

"No Russian helicopters or drones conducting aerial reconnaissance in the region have bee reported," Slobodian said.
