"NABU or SBU illegally wiretapped suspect in unlawful investigation," - Prosecutor General Lutsenko

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko does not rule out further searches in the premises of the Ukrainian Security Service under the case into warrantless eavesdropping of a person.

He said at a briefing, Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine.

"The PGO is currently carrying out the investigation in the territory of the NABU and it has already obtained necessary papers. Following the analysis of this documents, we will figure out those involved in the illicit wiretapping of a suspect in unlawful investigation initiated by NABU and what law enforcement agency they belong to exactly - the Security Service or NABU," the prosecutor general said.

"If necessary, the SBU premises will be searched as well," he added.

According to him, the main point was that conversations of a person were illegally wiretapped by a law enforcement agency.

Earlier, Prosecutor General's Office seized papers at the National Anti-Corruption Bureau in a raid carried out under the case into warrantless eavesdropping of a person.

According to NABU, the case was initiated into misappropriation of 30,000 tonnes of sugar of Ahrarnyi Fond PJSC with Deputy Prosecutor of Kyiv region Oleksandr Kolesnyk as a suspect.
