Russia kept denying its intervention in Donbas at today’s tough talks in Minsk, Ukraine’s negotiator Marchuk says

Representative of Ukraine in the security subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group on the peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donbas Yevhen Marchuk describes the recent negotiations held in Minsk on Wednesday, Aug. 3 as arduous and promises to disclose the details later.

The negotiator wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"We held extremely tough talks in Minsk today. I will disclose the details later. As usually, the Russian side strongly denied its involvement in the war and even shrugged off the indubitable facts of its [troops'] presence in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donbas," he wrote.

Yevhen Marchuk specified that he read out the information published on the official site of the so-called "DPR" at the meeting of the working group on security issues chaired by Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Ertugrul Apakan.

Ukraine's representative specified the website and the statement of July 19 headlined "DPR's" Army reinforced by new military equipment with crews."

"You can draw own conclusions on the reaction that followed," Marchuk wrote.

As reported, following the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on Aug. 3, Ambassador Martin Sajdik, the special representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine and in the Trilateral Contact Group on the implementation of the peace plan in the East of Ukraine said that the negotiations of the subgroup on security regarding further mutual withdrawal of troops from the contact line in the Donbas would be resumed at future meetings.Источник: https://censor.net.ua/en/n400384
