Militants revealed whereabouts of 45 Ukrainian prisoners, - Tandit

Representatives of the self-styled "Donetsk People's Republic" and "Luhansk People's Republic" have provided information about the whereabouts of 45 Ukrainian prisoners.

Adviser to SBU chief Yurii Tandit said on air of 112 Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.

"I rejoice at the fact the Ukrainian delegation has managed to receive information about our hostages from representatives of separate parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. If initially and until recently, we were talking about 21 to 26 hostages, with different numbers being voiced every now and then, today we know about the whereabouts of 45 our hostages. We learned this information today from representatives of separate parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and this is the most important thing," Tandit said.

Tandit also stressed that terrorists do not want to talk about specific date and place of release of Ukrainian prisoners, thus delaying the process.

"We were ready to provide information on each person being of interest to representatives of separate parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. However, they showed no interest in the matter this time. They again talked about 1,102 people, then 602. We, in turn, told them about 618 persons held in the government-controlled territory. The story of each person is unique, and we are ready at any time to give out those who can be released under current legislation, and we are waiting for reciprocity from the opposite side. I hope, as I said yesterday, we'll have some good news quite soon," Tandit said.

As reported, four subgroups of the Trilateral Contact Group on the settlement of the situation in the Donbas are meeting in Minsk.
