 Russian terrorists commit fierce attacks near Avdiivka, Opytne, and Luhanske, - Staff

The Russian occupation forces opened fire upon Ukrainian soldiers in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area 22 times since the beginning of the day in violation of the Minsk cease-fire deal.

Censor.NET informs citing the situation report by the ATO Staff press center.

The situation report reads: "The invaders fired at the villages near Avdiivka, Troitske, and Nevelske as well as on the outskirts of Horlivka at the Donetsk section of the front with 82-mm mortars and high-caliber machine guns.

"The enemy also employed machine guns, grenade launchers of various systems and small arms near Luhanske.

"Fierce clashes between the enemy and the Ukrainian defenders have been underway on the outskirts of Avdiivka, Opytne, and Luhanske since afternoon."

"The Russian occupants shelled the ATO forces' strongholds in Novomykhailivka at the Mariupol section of the front with grenade launchers early in the morning. Hnutove and Krasnohorivka were fired at with 82-mm mortars and small arms.

"Besides, the enemy employed small arms near the village of Taramchuk at daytime.

"The situation at the Luhansk section of the front was relatively calm today," the latest update reads.
