MP Andrii Teteruk wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
He also called on everyone accessible to come to the courthouse and monitor the trial over Yefremov.
"Each of us responds badly when an offender who deserves punishment avoids it. But we have to show our courts that we care. We worry about our country, and we will monitor every word of the judge, so that Yefremov, who is directly involved in creation of the 'LPR', as well as in attempts to change the borders of Ukraine and other crimes against our country, received a just verdict and began to serve his sentence. I ask everyone who wants to live in a country where the law is equal for everyone to arrive to the Pechersk court of Kyiv at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 1, and monitor the Yefremov trial," he wrote.
The information that the court session to choose the measure of restraint for Yefremov was appointed on Monday has been also confirmed by a source of Ukrainska Pravda in the PGO.
"Pechersk court, 2 p.m.," the source said commenting the time of the session.
Earlier, it was reported that former head of the Party of Regions faction in the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Yefremov was arrested on suspicion of infringement of the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine morning July 30. Reasonable grounds that he might escape to evade criminal responsibility were the reason for his arrest.
The PGO had arrested ex-MP Yefremov earlier. He was arrested with the possibility of release on 3.7 million hryvnia bail and bailed out by his colleague MP Borys Kolesnikov.
The court ordered the controversial ex-deputy to wear an electronic bracelet.
