Turkey-Ukraine relations follow the political, geopolitical, economic, and cultural logic. The relations with Russia have certain impact on them, but the two have their own path which they follow. And it will not change over political motives. Ukraine is Turkey's strategic ally and neighbor, and Turkey has a stake in a strong, independent, democratic Ukraine integrated into Europe and implementing successful reforms, with Crimea as part of its territory, the country which sovereignty is observed, Tezel said at a press conference in Kyiv on Friday.

The ambassador also noted that the Turkish stance regarding Crimea had remained unchanged since the very beginning of the crisis in relations between Turkey and Russia.
