Terrorists shelled Ukrainian Army's positions 39 times yesterday, used banned weapons, - ATO press center

Over the past day, Russia's occupation troops opened fire upon positions of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces 39 times in the Donbas.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the ATO press center in its report as at 6 a.m. July 27, posted on Facebook.

According to the authority, the largest number of shelling cases was+ recorded at Mariupol direction.

"Using Minsk-banned 120-mm mortars and 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms, the enemy conducted fire upon Krasnohorivka. In addition, grenade launchers of various calibers, large-caliber mortars, and small arms were used by the enemy to shell our defenses in Shyrokyne, Marinka, and Novotroitske.

"Russian occupants continue armed provocations at Donetsk direction, where 17 cases of cease-fire violations were recorded. Avdiivka remains the hot spot. There, the enemy fired upon our strong points using 122-mm artillery, 120-mm and 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers, large-caliber mortars, and small arms. Ukrainian positions in Nevelske, Zaitseve, and Butivka mine were mortared by militants. Near Opytne, the enemy used anti-aircraft systems, in Pisky, Novhorodske, and Novoselivka Druha - large caliber mortars, near Luhanske - grenade launchers," the message reads.

It was relatively calm in the Luhansk region yesterday.

As reported earlier, on July 25, Ukrainian soldiers repulsed three assaults by terrorists in the ATO area, inflicting significant losses to the enemy.
