54 attacks recorded yesterday, enemy used banned mortars, AA guns, IFV, - Staff

Russian occupation forces continue attacks on Ukrainian army positions in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the ATO press center in a report as at 6 a.m. July 20, posted on Facebook.

As noted, 54 cases of cease-fire violation occurred yesterday, including 24 at Donetsk and Mariupol directions, and six in the Luhansk region.

"At Mariupol direction, using Minsk-banned 122-mm artillery, the enemy fired 12 rounds on our strong points in Shyrokyne. In addition, 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers, and heavy machine guns were employed. Ukrainian soldiers in Talakivka came under 120-mm and 82-mm mortar fire. Terrorists also used mortars to hit our troops in Krasnohorivka, Hnutove, and Vodiane, while small arms were fired in Marinka, Slavne, Starohnativka, and Novohryhorivka," the report reads.

Avdiivka is reported to remain the hottest spot at the Donetsk direction: "There, the enemy used 120-mm and 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms, also hitting Maiorsk with 120-mm mortars, Butivka mine, Opytne, and Zaitseve with 82-mm mortars.

"In the Luhansk region, 82-mm mortars, various types of grenade launchers, and heavy machine guns were employed against Stanytsia Luhanska, anti-aircraft guns near Novozvanivka, and an IFV near Novooleksandrivka."

On July 18, terrorists committed 78 attacks on ATO forces' positions.
