Russia deployed more tanks in Donbas than Germany and UK have, former Ukraine’s Defense Minister Marchuk says

The number of tanks Russia has deployed in the temporarily occupied territories of the Donbas exceeds the number of tanks belonging to Germany and UK combined.

Ukraine's Representative in Minsk peace talks, ex-Defense Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Marchuk said on air of Channel 5, Censor.NET reports.

He assured that the Ukrainian intelligence knows exactly through which railway crossing or section of the border trains enter the Donbas from the Russian side, as well as the number, types, and destination points of the delivered equipment.

"It is known for certain that 702 tanks of three modifications have been deployed on the other side. These are modern combat-ready tanks. There are more than a thousand different artillery systems, including barrel and missile artillery and mortars.

"Not to mention other crucial military components usually related to offensive actions or infliction of heavy losses to opponent," the Ukrainian negotiator said.
