Censor.NET informs citing NABU's press service.
According to the press service, the person in question is suspected of embezzlement of state funds allocated to Ukraine under Kyoto protocol, in the amount of more than 480 million UAH ($19.6 million).
Currently, urgent investigative actions are conducted in regard to this person, and a request to the investigating judge on selection of a pre-trial measure is being drafted, NABU informed.
After the Tuesday detention, the number of persons apprehended under the Kyoto funds embezzlement case has reached three. Four people have been served notices of suspicion, the agency said.
"Pre-trial investigation in this criminal proceeding is reaching its final stage," the NABU noted.
Earlier, NABU started criminal investigation of the fact of state funds embezzlement in large amount on Jan. 21, 2016. On May 16, detectives of the agency detained a secretary of state procurement committee of Ukrainski Ekolohichni Investytsii SE. On June 1 in Starobelsk, the Luhansk region, a second suspect was apprehended.
