G5 leaders support Ukraine’s sovereignty and need to continue political and economic reforms, - Obama

Leaders of the U.S., France, Germany, Italy, and United Kingdom reaffirmed strong support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity at the NATO Summit in Warsaw.

U.S. President Barack Obama said at a press conference in Warsaw, Censor.NET reports citing the White House.

"Prime Minister Cameron, President Hollande, Chancellor Merkel, Prime Minister Renzi and I met with President Poroshenko, and we reaffirmed our strong support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the need to continue political and economic reforms," Obama said.

The president has also mentioned that a new assistance package to improve Alliance support for Ukrainian forces was agreed at the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission.

Earlier, it was reported that
Ukraine and Poland signed protocol on military and technical cooperation. The protocol stipulates for establishment of a working group for military and technical cooperation. This group will act under the Ukrainian-Polish Intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation.
