Kyiv, Washington to coordinate actions before NATO Summit during Kerry's visit, - Ambassador of Ukraine to US Chalyi

Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valerii Chalyi says Ukraine and the U.S. intend to coordinate their actions before NATO's 2016 Warsaw Summit scheduled for July 8-9.

"Before the visit of John Kerry, it's obvious that we'll talk about the coordination of our actions as strategic partners before the NATO Summit," he said.

According to Chalyi, during his visit to Ukraine John Kerry intends to discuss the issues of bilateral cooperation and the European integration of Ukraine.

The ambassador also stressed the role of the U.S. support for Ukraine.

"Thanks to the joint efforts of all our friends, including the support of the Congress, $330 million have been allocated in this year's budget only for security needs, including $50 million for lethal weapons. If there is a political decision, it may also be done.

"And most importantly, $650 million exceed the request of the administration by $150 million. These funds are non-corrupt, they are transparent, controlled, and they are definitely spent to first of all enhance Ukraine's security capabilities as well as loan guarantees for $1 billion, which is also stipulated by the U.S. budget," Chalyi noted.Источник: https://censor.net.ua/en/n396024
