Russian MTS Internet provider in Ukraine bans users from censor.net.ua website

Censor.NET's regular readers who use CNM provider of Internet services addressed the editor's office with a claim.

They informed that CNM provider is currently blocking them from reading censor.net.ua under requirements of the Russian Federation legislation.

The provider reassigns users to the website of the Russian company MTS, which informs the readers that the requested website censor.net.ua is blocked due to demands by law enforcement agencies of Russia.



The users who see this notification are in Kyiv, the CNM provider operates in Kyiv, but the data is controlled by MTS company, based in Moscow.

Censor.NET's editorial staff has sent an inquiry to CNM support service to explain the situation. They responded that the blocking is conducted by provider of higher level, and they are attempting to lift this ban, for numerous requests from users have been already registered.

The same situation has been recorded in Kramatorsk, which residents use services of a large and respected Ukrainian operator Volia. Russia's MTS blocks censor.net.ua website in Ukrainian territory in Kramatorsk, the Donetsk region. воля
In connection to this, Censor.NET deems it necessary to address the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) with a request to conduct an investigation on how the communications based in Ukraine have become controlled by the neighboring aggressor state that wages the war against Ukraine.
