According to former prime minister, the U.S. government has been and will continue helping the Ukrainian people. Now it depends on Ukrainian politicians and whether they will continue demonstrating their will to change the country, Yatseniuk stressed.

Within the strategy, legislation on open state procurement has been adopted, the privatization process launched, changes have been implemented in the State Fiscal Service (SFS) of Ukraine, the tax burden on salaries decreased twofold, and the process of deregulation took place.

Former Ukrainian PM said it was high time to speak of the future. According to Yatseniuk, Ukraine's road map with the U.S. Department of Commerce requires subsequent implementation. Deregulation is the first process to be put in effect, and the reform of the SFS and the customs office is of the greatest importance, he said.

Yatseniuk also noted that the U.S. government has been allocating financial aid and technical assistance to reform the Ukrainian customs office, to fight corruption, to simplify customs procedures, and make the Ukrainian tax legislation and tax service closer to tax payers, just like in the U.S.
