Nuland’s visit to Kyiv and Moscow connected to implementation of Minsk agreements, - Department of State

Current visit of Assistant Secretary Victoria Nuland to the Ukrainian and Russian capitals are a continuation of conversations and efforts for full implementation of the Minsk agreement.

This was announced by Spokesperson of the U.S. Department of State John Kirby at a press briefing in Washington, DC, on Wednesday, Censor.NET informs.

"The United States view is that we want to see Minsk fully implemented as soon as possible. It will be good for peace and security in Ukraine. It will be good for relations between Russia and Ukraine. And it'll be good for relations between the United States and our allies and Russia if we can move forward on this," Kirby said.

He reminded that Victoria Nuland visited Kyiv back in April and Moscow in May. Today's meetings, Kirby said, are 'a continuation of those conversations' and efforts to see that Minsk be fully implemented.

"We believe it's important to keep talking," the spokesperson of the U.S. Department of State said.
