"Result is not reached," - PGO on searches of Kliuiev, Sivkovych's homes

Chief of PGO's Special Investigations Department Serhii Horbatiuk said that the searches of private homes of ex-Head of the Presidential Administration Andrii Kliuiev and former Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Volodymyr Sivkovych were over and dwelt on other defendants in the case.

He announced this on air of 112 Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.

"There are a lot of persons of interest. We need to talk about specific episodes. As for these searches, they were carried out as part of the probe into the crackdown on the rally on Nov. 30, 2013, where the wanted former president [Yanukovych - ed.] and former interior minister [Zakharchenko - ed.], as well as the leadership of the Kyiv militia are suspected.

"Four Berkut [riot police unit - ed.] commanders and the chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration are mentioned in this case that has been considered by court for more than a year now. We have searched the home of the former chief of the Kyiv militia [Valerii Koriak - ed.] and seized a large number of valuables. We've also found €40,000 and $10,000, gold coins," he said.

According to Horbatiuk, searches are needed to find additional evidence and ascertain the whereabouts of those wanted. Yesterday's actions by the PGO were intended for these particular tasks.

"The most recent searches failed to bring results, at least not those expected. During the search of the home of the Kyiv militia chief, one of the desired results was achieved. We found and seized jewelry, cash that will be confiscated in future if the verdict is delivered," the prosecutor remarked.
