Mahera, Okhendovskyi refused to take polygraph test, - Anti-Corruption Prosecutor Kholodnytskyi

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office proposed some of the Central Election Commission members to undergo a polygraph test.

Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor Nazar Kholodnytskyi told journalists, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"We've retrieved Ohendovsky's handwriting samples, and they will be analyzed," Kholodnytskyi said.

According to him, Okhendovskyi was offered to undergo a polygraph test, but he refused.

Kholodnytskyi added that another CEC member Andrii Mahera also refused to take a polygraph test, while the only one to agree was Zhanna Usenko-Chorna.

Kholodnytskyi said that no more questioning in the case was scheduled on Monday, but it will certainly take place further this week. He noted that Central Electoral Commission ex-Chairman Volodymyr Shapoval will also be questioned in this case.

On May 31, Petro Poroshenko Bloc (PPB) MP Serhii Leshchenko and journalists Anton Marchuk and Sevhil Musaieva-Borovyk published some of the documents proving the existence of Party of Regions' slush funds. According to the materials, the Party of Regions spent $66 million on political corruption over the second half of 2012.

Even earlier, ex-Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Viktor Trepak said he had given the information about Party of Regions' slush funds to the NABU.

According to him, these materials expose high-ranking officials, ministers and heads of authorities, MPs, prominent politicians, public figures, representatives of international organizations, judges, including those from higher courts. At the same time, Trepak "in the interests of future investigation" declined to voice the names of officials and politicians that appear in the documents as well as the circumstances under which these people were paid.
