Russian Foreign Ministry "concerned" by Azov and Aidar soldiers additionally deployed in Odesa

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation expressed concern regarding the information on the Azov and Aidar detachments being sent to Odesa.

"We are deeply concerned by the information on the tensions being whipped up in Odesa as well as gradual pulling of trained soldiers of the radical nationalist groups Aidar and Azov in the city and other signs of preparation for new provocations in this city," the statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry reads.

Earlier, Odesa Regional State Administration Head Mikheil Saakashvili said that about one thousand law enforcement officers would be sent to Odesa to maintain public order under the decision of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
