"I overturn the request of the PGO to take Oleh Sviatnyi in custody and apply a pre-trial restraint in the form of house arrest from 22 p.m. to 7 a.m.," investigative judge Olesia Batrin said.
The chosen preventive measure is valid until June 20, 2016.
The court also ordered the suspect to wear an electronic tagging device.
It is worth noting that at the beginning of the hearing, the judge granted the motion of the defense to hold the meeting in camera. Oleh Sviatnyi is charged with abuse of power during the detention of Euromaidan and Automaidan activists on January 23, 2014.
