Savchenko’s health stabilized after intravenous infusions, lawyer Polozov says

Health of Nadiia Savchenko, the Ukrainian hostage held in Russia, was stabilized by intravenous infusions.

One of her lawyers Nikolai Polozov wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

He wrote: "I visited Nadiia Savchenko in remand prison. She was in a good mood after a conversation with the president, sister, and mother. There is hope that this nightmare is coming to an end...

"Nadiia started drinking water. It is too dangerous for her in her condition to start taking solid food now.

"Nadiia's health has been stabilized by intravenous infusions that she receives daily now. There is a problem with water retention of her kidneys. Her elbow veins are pricked all over so the IV is put through the wrist ones.

"I'd like to believe that the arrangements of the politicians will be implemented in nearest future, within weeks, not months.

"I believe them [the politicians] so far, but I make the final call here and it cannot be deprived," Nadiia Savchenko said," Polozov wrote.
