Denmark supports the extension of EU sanctions against Russia until the complete implementation of the Minsk agreements.

This was announced by Prime Minister of Denmark Lars Løkke Rasmussen after talks with President Petro Poroshenko, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

Denmark will support the extension of sanctions against Russia for as long as it fails to fulfill the Minsk agreements, he said.

Danish Prime Minister also stated that his country supports the provision of a visa-free regime by the EU for Ukrainian citizens.

However, Rasmussen urged Ukraine to proceed with reforms and changes in the country, particularly in the context of the fight against corruption, as there are still a lot of challenges in this area.

In addition, Denmark rules out the recognition of the annexation of Crimea by Russia and intends to support reforms in Ukraine.
