In order to hold their positions, the Ukrainian military opened return fire from small arms and grenade launchers for 15 times.
The militants made another provocation against the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the work of Alexander Hug, first deputy head of the OSCE SMM to Ukraine in the Donetsk region. They fired from large-caliber machine guns, grenade launchers, and small arms near Avdiivka hoping to provoke return fire, however, without success. Having realized that the provocation failed, the mercenaries fired at the territory which is controlled by them.
