We can not continue with ratification of association agreement with Ukraine, - Dutch PM Rutte

According to Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, if the official results of the referendum vote of April 6 are the same as exit polls show, i.e. opposing the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, the Netherlands would not be able to continue the process of the deal's ratification.

This was announced by Dutch PM Mark Rutte on his Facebook page, Censor.NET informs.

"If the outcome of the referendum remains as it is today, then we can not continue with the ratification of the association agreement with Ukraine. That's my political view. The 'NO' camp has clearly won. For the final turnout, we need to get more security," Rutte wrote.

"We're now in a process that goes step by step. After [we'll be] discussing the results of this cabinet. Then follow the consultations with the second chamber and our European partners. We take time for this. That will be rather weeks than days," Rutte added.

As reported, exit polls showed 61 percent of the voters in the April 6 referendum in the Netherlands said 'no' to the EU-Ukraine Association agreement, with only 38 percent voting 'yes.'Источник: https://censor.net.ua/en/n383124
