 Offshore scandal with Poroshenko: no crime component found by PGO

Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine sees no crime component in the activities of President Poroshenko upon having learnt about his offshore companies in Panama.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by PGO prosecutor Vladyslav Kutsenko to Ukrainski Novyny.

"Having studied information from media about illegal activities of the president, the prosecution agency sees no crime component," he said.

According to him, the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine is receiving requests from MPs to sort out the information posted in media and to start an investigation.

Kutsenko stressed that the prosecution agency, under the Constitution, has no powers of this kind, and recommends to address Rada with the issue, for it has the authority to deal with similar issues.

As reported, the National Anti-corruption Bureau is currently investigating into information about a number of officials having offshore companies in Panama.
