Putin's regime still eager to disintegrate Ukraine and reinstall pro-Russian government, - Defense Intelligence

Despite a partial failure of Moscow's plans in Ukraine, Putin's regime still has not given up on its design to disintegrate the country.

Defense Intelligence Deputy Director Vadym Skibitskyi said at today's Verkhovna Rada National Security and Defense Committee meeting, Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine.

"Despite a partial failure, according to our estimates, of Moscow's plans, the Putin's regime has not abandoned its plans in respect of our country, which so far include the disintegration of Ukraine, establishment of Russia's control over our state and restoration of a pro-Russian government in the country," Skibitskyi said.

As reported, the transcript of the National Security and Defense Council meeting that took place on Feb. 28, 2014 in the wake of Russia's occupation of Crimea was published during today's meeting of the Verkhovna Rada National Security and Defense Committee .

According to the unveiled information, then Head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov advocated the imposition of martial law in Ukraine. But since none of those present supported him, martial law was not introduced.
