Man tried to smuggle 850,000 hryvnia from Russia to Ukraine to support terrorists – SBU. PHOTOS

In the Kharkiv region, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), together with border guards and customs officers, prevented smuggling of a significant sum of money to Ukraine.

Censor.NET reports citing the press center of the SBU.

According to the report, a 46-year-old resident of the Luhansk region was trying to smuggle 850,000 hryvnia from Russia to Ukraine. The money was hidden in the smuggler's minivan.

According to operative data, the funds were intended for financing of the separatists' and terrorists' activities in Ukraine.

The SBU is taking measures to identify all persons involved in the crime, as well as to find the source of money.
