 Enemy drones dropped phosphorus grenades at ammunition depot of 93rd Mechanized Brigade, - General Staff

The General Staff said that the enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) committed attack on the military ammunition depot in Hrodivka village (the Donetsk region) using phosphorus grenades on the night of Feb. 19.

Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the General Staff press service.

"The military facility of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade, located in the rear area near the village of Hrodivka in the Donetsk region, was attacked with the use of drones.

"The drones committed several attacks on brigade's missile and artillery depots, dropping phosphorous incendiary grenades on the night of Feb. 19. The hot spots, caused by explosions, were promptly isolated by the efforts of the reserve team.

"The antiaircraft forces covering the facility and the duty watch were engaged to repel the attack, but it was quite difficult to destroy such small aerial vehicles as drones. The radar reconnaissance assets were unable to detect UAVs.

"The area, where the unmanned aerial vehicles took off and were operated from, was presumably on the territory controlled by the Ukrainian military in the village of Hrodivka.

"The National Police is currently engaged in search operation. The Security Service of Ukraine joined the investigation of the subversion. The investigation is underway," the statement reads

Earlier, the ammunition depot of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade in the Kuibyshev district of the Zaporizhia region caught fire with subsequent detonation of the ammunition on the night of Feb. 19.
