 Batkivshchyna faction quits parliamentary coalition

Batkivshchyna faction has announced its withdrawal from the Verkhovna Rada coalition.

This was announced by Batkivshchyna leader Yuliia Tymoshenko on the sidelines of the Ukrainian parliament on Wednesday, Censor.NET informs.

"Some extraordinary events took place in the Rada yesterday, when the cats came out of the bag. Batkivshchyna faction has made the only right decision at its morning meeting that it quits the coalition.

"We can clearly say there has never been a democratic, pro-European coalition in this parliament. There has always been a shadow, secretive, clannish and political coalition that has been forming the government, that has governed the country, and has led the state to the extreme destruction of our lives... We consider it inappropriate to remain in this swarm. We call on all the deputies to withdraw from this technical coalition," Tymoshenko said.
