MP Soboliev: "Samopomich will decide on quitting coalition next week. This is parliament's end"

Samopomich parliamentary faction will hold a meeting next week to consider withdrawal from the coalition.

Samopomich MP Yehor Soboliev told reporters on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, Sapomomich, which delegated Oleksii Pavlenko as minister of agrarian policy and food in Ukraine's government and subsequently recalled him, did not consent to the withdrawal of his resignation.

"He no longer represents Samopomich. It's an embarrassing story for us. It is a question of ethics and morality. Pavlenko was not elected by the Ukrainian people. People voted for five political forces, including Samopomich. I think the current situation flags the end of this parliament and destruction of democracy.

"When the government, which is accused of massive sleaze, says there is unity in its ranks and they do not care about the opinion of parliamentarians who, in particular, delegated them, democracy can not work. All they are conspired kleptocrats," Soboliev said.

Commenting on Samopomich's further steps, Soboliev said: "I believe it is time to build a real European opposition to this kleptocratic coalition.

Soboliev is sure it's absolutely necessary for the faction to decide on quitting the coalition: "I can no longer stay together with these people in this parliament."

According to him, Samopomich faction will meet in the near future and decide on its further actions. "First meetings will be held tomorrow, while an extended meeting is scheduled for early next week," the MP said.

Commenting on the scandal with Poroshenko Bloc deputy Kononenko, he said: "This proves that people continue to follow the traditions and principles of Yanukovych. When Yanukovych's allies were accused of graft, he said the same thing: "Go to court, let me file a statement to the Prosecutor General's Office."Источник: https://censor.net.ua/en/n372758
