UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs spokesperson Jens Laerke announced Monday, Censor.NET reports citing Russian Interfax.
"On this basis, the United Nations will submit a detailed list of deliveries and other details," he said.
According to him, the UN has also requested experts on nutrition, as well as doctors, who could assess the needs of the besieged people, to be granted access to those areas. At the same time, no humanitarian supplies delivery schedule to the besieged cities and villages has yet been submitted.
Madaya is located on the border with Lebanon. It is under siege by the government troops. The villages of Fua and Kefraya are located in the Syrian Idlib province. They are besieged by the opposition forces. The negotiations on Syria under UN auspices officially began in Geneva on Monday.
