Ukraine set to file suit against Russia with International Court of Justice, - Minister Petrenko

Ukraine will file a lawsuit against Russia with the International Court of Justice for its support of terrorism.

This was announced by Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko, Censor.NET reports citing zn.ua.

"2016 will see instituting a large-scale case in the International Court of Justice where Ukraine will appeal against Russia under the convention for the suppression of the financing of terrorism," Petrenko said in a televised interview.

According to the minister, the evidence has been collected, a pre-trial dialogue with the Russian Federation is about to end, and "we'll go to court." Petrenko also said that the state-owned Oshchadbank and Naftohaz had sued Russia independently in the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.

He also recalled Ukraine had already filed three lawsuits against Russia with the European Court of Human Rights.
